TrustBearer Protects Account Access

TrustBearer Access uses public key cryptography to authenticate both the user and the server. Public key cryptography using hardware tokens provides one of the strongest forms of user authentication. Although public key cryptography exists in many web browsers and operating systems, it has been too difficult for end users to understand and use.

Operating systems and browsers also make little distinction between the trust of one SSL protected web site versus another. For this reason, TrustBearer Access moves the establishment to the back-end, thereby consolidating trust into an environment controlled by the issuer.

The browser extension authenticates the server's identity prior to performing any transaction. This prevents the user for exchanging information with an untrusted site that could attempt a phishing or man-in-the-middle attack.

TrustBearer delivers all software through a browser extension, which is the same way Adobe™ Flash™ is installed. This allows all software to be centrally managed and provides a seamless and consistent user experience across operating systems, browsers, and hardware configurations. Users simply visit a website, confirm the browser extension installation one-time, connect their device, and enter their PIN.
