Web Software Quality Assurance Engineer

The applications we develop include web server applications, web browser add-ons, and AJAX-based user interfaces. We are looking for an experienced quality assurance engineer to test both client and server components of web-based software for large client projects and our packaged products.

Responsibilities

• Work well with a small team in a fast-paced development environment
• Work with our development team to ensure that software products meet and exceed usability, technical and client requirements.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing procedures to measure software quality and scalability
• Find, document, and verify fixes to software bugs and defects
• Develop and test software installers on multiple platforms
• Manage our bug and features tracking system

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years professional experience in software development; 2+ years professional experience software testing or network security experience
• Knowledge of server-side, database, and scripting languages (Java, perl, ASP.NET, PHP, ASP, JavaScript, AJAX, XML/XHTML)
• Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
• Highly Proficient in Unix/Linux and Windows Environments
• Effective specification and software documentation skills
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in cryptography, authentication, algorithms, and data structures
• Interest in the areas of web security and authentication
• Experience rapidly building and implementing tools and scripts for functional and structural testing
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Ruby, ASP.NET, MySQL, Lua • Experience in cryptography, authentication, algorithms, and data structures
• Interest in the areas of web security and authentication
• Experience designing and executing usability testing
